You have stitched together, Mark, in your own incomparable way, a dream scene of epic proportions, depicting the barren shores of Lake Michigan, with its waves lapping at the quay, and compleat with a line of trees magnificently silhouetted for high contrast and sense of depth. A zoom really shows off the small dot-like noise vastly inherent in this exercise. Your new computer must be on the horizon by now.

I love this; what an amazing feeling the postwork gives, almost a Japanese painting feeling. Well done Mark!

Nobody but you can get away with planting trees like that in for foreground, with such a succes. You even cut the top off of them. You make it look like the scenery couldnt do without them. They give the whole picture that special effect, I have never seen any other do. You dont know how unique you are with this. Amazing and awesome and I love it. !!! Man, you are good at this, Mark.

I could easily see this adorning the lobby of an office building.. superb work.

A most interesting and lovely crop on this image. The long horizontal compliments the length of that walk. And how exciting and a bit scary to be walking on it, as if walking right into the lake with waves crashing around you.

I love the composition - the bold lights & darks & how those trees break up the horizontal flow. I only wish I had a monitor big enough to view the whole image at full size without scrolling...

Ok, your lake and my ocean need to meet and have it out. This one up the ante for sure with the mood and lighting those trees in the foreground. I mean, you know the ocean is supposed to have waves and tides and rough water, but a LAKE? It's supposed to be calm and serene, made to slow, sweet floats in canoes. You'd need a fricken aircraft carrier to dare be on the water!! All kidding aside, though, I love this shot; the black and white only makes it more powerful!!

Mark, this truly is one epic looking capture that does appear to have it all. Lake Michigan has never looked more vibrant and alive as it is shown in this wondrous capture. The waves pounding the shore certainly gives it a dramatic feel, and I especially like the point of view you went with. Choosing to get this capture from behind the trees was very clever as I especially like the shadow play going on here.
