Description

"Nesting Dove" This young "mama" Dove has been nesting on top of the fence arbor in our back yard for the last three weeks. She doesn't budge even when I drive my loud lawn tractor under the arbor. It has hailed, rained 3.5 inches in two hours, been 100F, been 43F, and had up to 55mph winds while she has been there [good ol'e Kansas weather]. She is a good mother! I look forward to seeing and hearing her babies when the eggs hatch. It may seem silly, but I go out and talk to her each day. Thanks for viewing my gallery and your comments.

I like doves but not the constant cooing. I had a nest before in a gutter and after two fell out I replaced them in the nest. just before a very heavy rain came in, they managed to fly away. great capture
