Your Oregon Coast photos are making me think of Ursula K. LeGuin: but since she lives up around thataway, it's not to unusual. I'm thinking of her odd novel: Always Coming Home, which is something other than a novel, but it's impressive enough to call itself whatever it wants. It even has a soundtrack! Well...sort of. It's more like samples of music from the fictional culture written about. Anyway, that has nothing to do with this, but as my mind tends to wander, I've found that it's best to just let it wander...and well...it has wandered. And now, this shot! I love the action, the motion, the sense that I'm looking at one of those Shakespearean Tempests, which also makes me wonder if Prospero is going to make an appearance...that churning water is so evocative: the mist and the sense of really immense natural forces is really just plain cool! I like this shot! There's so much to see in it, and a lot to wonder about also. There's a faint sense of haze as well, and I really like that. Yep...another good one.

Another of your in-the-middle-of-it shots of your ocean. (You always call my lake "your lake," so I want to call your ocean "your ocean"---and yes the two would get along if they met, except that yours is about 2 gazillion times larger than mine---mine would take a peek and get the hell outa there, lol.) This is all waves, silver, light, shadow and power. And that circle made of rocks and currents---you caught a whole character in that. And the waves on the very top look like they're about to cave in on the whole scene. Your love and communion with this ocean come out in every shot you take, and it's a constant amazement to me that your shots are always new and fresh, no matter how many times you take them. A swirling brooding and powerful shot. And right that you did it in black and white too. It brings out the silver sheen to these waves...
