Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I like the alterations! I love the green. Green bridges are quite underrated I think. This image makes me think more of a painting than a photograph and I love the way it straddles those two media. The contrast between the bridge bits and the clouds is perfect.

By golly, at this POV, it does look like the bridge is soaring up into the wild blue yonder, Marilyn. Stellar color and effects, young lady.

A bridge to the sky indeed! Did you know the bridge deck is more than 200 feet above the river? It really does feel like you're climbing into the sky when you hit that incline. An excellent picture!

Nice one Marilyn. I feel like a graduate of that bridge. I didn't have the nerve to drive the motorhome over it 3 years ago...this past year no sweat:)

All deep, almost marine green, looming into the sky...and your sky is 'painted' on, in liquid blurbs and islands. A very sweet treatment of both, and the bridge seems natural (the green) but it also has many recesses and shadows: It seems, if we go through it, that it might swallow us. A fine shot, and your treatment is glowing and mysterious. And your crop brings us right into it. You see some beautiful scenery in your many drives. That's great.
