Description

Skylar and Reed have been waiting near the entrance of a crowded bar/night club, waiting for their 'friend' Leon to find a table for them. Leon told them he knew the manager and was sure he could get them some nice seating. But after waiting this long, Both Skylar and Reed are more than concerned. 'Well, we might as well have a drink while we wait!' Skylar says to Reed as he reaches in his pocket for his wallet. A panicked look crosses his face as he turns to Reed. 'The keys to Eleanor! They're gone!' 'What the hell! You've got to be kidding!' Says Reed. 'Check all your pockets. You couldn't have lost them in the parking lot could you?' 'No! I'm positive I had them in my pocket when we came in! But lets check just to be sure!' They rush out into the parking lot and retrace their steps to Eleanor, or where they thought Eleanor was parked! No! This can't be! Eleanor is gone? The shock of this thought hits both guys at the same time. Just to be sure, they canvas the entire parking lot but there isn't a trace of her. 'Call the cops!' says Reed. 'I'm afraid our little college 'buddy' may have pulled one on us!' Skylar gets the police on the line and tells them what has happened. Before long, a patrol car rolls into the parking lot. A young officer emerges and walks over to the guys. 'Are you the ones that had your car stolen?' he asks. 'Well, we aren't sure right now about that.' Says Skylar and he goes on to explain the events of the recent evening. When the officer learns the identity of their 'friend', he tells them that Leon has been into all kinds of trouble since comeing home from college a few years ago. Everyone that knows him is steering clear of him cause he is nothing but trouble. They walk back over to the officer's car just in time to hear the radio call for the officer. He gets on the radio and soon learns that by some strange coincidence, a car matching the description of Eleanor has been pulled over by California Highway Patrol heading west to San Diego on I-8. They clocked it at over 100 mph and had a devil of a time catching the driver. And wouldn't you know it, when they finally got him to pull over, the thief turns out to be our old friend, Leon. The officer asks to be patched through to the Highway Patrol. He gets in touch with an officer just across the border and tells him the story. That officer gets on the horn and finds out more details. He learns that the car was pulled over about 20 miles west of the Casino. After a little discussion, they decide to send over a California unit to pick up Reed and Skylar to come and retrieve Eleanor. Once the California HP gets over to the parking lot, Skylar gets on the phone. He calls Jessie Arrowhead, their friend and owner of the Mustang. It is late but he wants Jessie to know what is going on. When Jessie finally answers his phone, Skylar tells him what has happened. 'Sorry to bother you this late a night, Jess, but I didn't want you to hear about this from anyone else but us. We are going with the CA HP to retrieve Eleanor right now. I'll let you know what we find out. I'm so sorry this happened and I take full responsibilty for everything!' 'Don't worry about it, kid. But I am glad you called!' Says Jessie. 'There are a few more things I should have told you about Eleanor but now that this happened, I will let you in on some of her secrets. But that's enough for tonight. You guys get some rest after you get her back and call me tomorrow. I'll fill you in then. Good night and good luck!' ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- M4, M3 and D3 characters. Rendered in Poser 9. Post work in Photoshop 7.
