Description

My best guess is that this is the flower of the Red Ginger plant (Alpinia Purpurata) very common in Hawaii and the Caribbean. This photo was taken in Honduras. It was the lighting that caught my eye. Very striking shape and coloring. It's just incredible what marvels Nature is capable of. I really think you should have been a naturalist or working for National Geographic!
