Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

It's so great to see you and Tara tackle these beasts---visually---after all of Denise's masterful captures of them. Is this Vitez, I wonder? It's a beautiful shot, whoever it is, a big feline yawning with that typical curled tongue and the closed eyes, and totally at rest. And that orange-sorbet background is terrific contrast---I know it was 'there' to begin with, but it's a wonderful contrast to black and white fur, and it's almost as if someone plopped it there as a backdrop. Its cropped so the head is right in our eyes; and yet you left space around her. This is an area of photography that I've yet to learn, and hope to learn one day. Beautiful animal work, Bill, and I look forward to more. Denise's masterful collection makes these new additions feel like new views of an old beloved family. A gentle, beautiful capture.

A jaw for a wide berth :)

Without seeing his habitat mate, I would assume this is Vitez; he seems to yawn more than Almos does, for some reason. But if he was in with Taj then it's Almos. The white boys are so handsome, especially when they lock eyes with you. Wonderful portrait of my friend, Bill! I'm glad you got to see them.

Yes, it's Almos. I compared the markings to shots in Denise's gallery. :) I had no idea (probably because I never paid any attention) that the always displayed the tigers in pairs. Taj with Almos. Okay. Who knew? This is a terrific shot, hon. I love the tongue! :)

Aw, dang it.... You know how seeing someone else yawn triggers your own yawn reflex? Well, guess what...... yaaawwwnnnn I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact I was up way too late last night......:-D Anyway, this is a wonderful capture of this beautiful tiger, Bill! Perfect timing!

A stunning photo Bill!

Terrific capture of who I assume is Vitez, the Siberian beauty, Bill, as it ponders its boring existence at the zoo.

It is catching on Bill - seeing someone yawning! - now I am doing it, good heavens what will it be next ? Do you see now, what you have done ? - I am not the only one, very effective indeed ... LOL (I have also been up until 3am - memoir to me - stop burning the midnight oil @ Rendo) Apart from all this, it's a very fine capture - the tongue is just priceless ! BB
