Description

Scotland, Argyll, Glencoe In scotland the ground is wet and covered by high grass, you get tired to lift your feet, or you cannot see holes or water hidden by the grass! So it is a joy to find one of the seldom footpathes, but mostly they are at places I don't want to make my hikes! YESTERDAY we had a bad THUNDERSTORM, almost like a tornado like I experienced in Oklahoma. I had to drive my friend to work at 10 pm, it is a way of about 15 minutes, but I was back at home at 1 am! Almost all streets were closed, under water or blocked by fallen trees, which damaged a lot of cars and houses! I've never seen such a storm in my area in germany! today and at night will come the next storm ;o( Thanks a lot for all welcome comments! ;o)

Wonderful mountain landscape, indeed it's better walking on a path ;-) I hope you have not had any damage to your house, storms are always dangerous!

I hear you....the type of terrain makes a big difference hiking. Luckily most of my hikes are on the hard lava rocks. Going thru bushes, it takes a toll on me... Love the lush green in your post. Keep Safe! Aloha

I hope your storms are over Rita and all is well again in your area. We didn't find any footpaths but we fell into many hidden water holes and that is where all those midges breed.
