Description
Part 4 of a 4 part story/poem
The Fog
I felt the sunlight on my face
as slowly I awoke,
and heard a voice say nearby
"Another drunken bloke!"
I thought about the nights events
and stifled back a scream;
until the realisation came
it must have been a dream!
Just as I thought that all was well
I murmured "God have pity!"
For the morning headlines read
"Fog shuts down the city!"
I read it quickly keen to see
if anyone had heard
if anything unusual
had possibly occurred.
But it was just the routine news
and not surprisingly,
there was nothing of the horror
that was seen by me.
Many were the questions then
that occupied my mind,
but I knew the answers were
impossible to find.
So I go on with my life
a victim of a fate
that has cursed my future
so that all I do is wait!

This series seems familiar to me.. I thought I saw this before from you.. I guess you re upload it again in parts.. still very beautiful poem and also the illustration :))

Hi Lisa, Yes, you have seen it before in one piece but I agreed with you comment then that it was a long read so I split it into four parts. Thanks again for your support.
