Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I like the pose. Such a nice 3/4 portrait shot! :) He seems quite intent on something, but as I recall, there weren't many "somethings" there on which to be intent. :P Lovely picture!

Beautiful shot of sweet Taj; he's probably listening for the keepers. They do seem to always know where people are!

Lovely soft ambience of Taj (Mahal) in this sterling portrait of the big cat, wistfully pondering its existence in the zoo. Bill. I wonder if, at least genetically, it misses the challenge of the hunt and kill.

He is ever so beautiful! Gorgeous portrait, Bill!

What a beautiful capture of this magnificent animal, Bill! It makes you want to just walk up and give him a big hug.......aside from the fact he'd probably eat you for doing so! Just gorgeous!

Your feline captures from this zoo have such a softness about them, they're so gentle. And this one almost melts into our eyes. It's not that you have pronounced "softening"---it's not that. It has something to do with your hues, your balance of light and dark, your textures. Taj looks made of a plush beautiful coat---well he has a plush beautiful coat, but it seems almost cashmere, here. And you've caught him against a red background, which sets off his browns and reddish undertones, as well as his nose. Beautiful and gentle work, Bill; and wonderful to see the difference between yours and tara's captures, and Denise's captures. (I wish I could go to that zoo and take a stab.) A beautiful tribute to feline beauty.
