Greetings to the people of Earth.
I've always wanted to say that! Now that I did, I can now get on with other things.
I'm a science fiction writer (not famous yet) born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I've lived in the Czech Republic and Germany, and though I am currently back in Chicago, much of my heart remains in the Czech Republic. Maybe it's the beer. Or the bread. I hope to live in Moscow soon, as a big portion of my heart already resides there. I've had an interest in science fiction since an early age and will probably maintain that interest for the rest of my life. I love SF, and anything else that embraces the spirit of discovery...or anything that chafes against the arbitrary boundaries of "conformity."Â
I discovered Renderosity a couple of years back when I was browsing the internet, looking for cool images to spark my imagination during a period of writer's block. It wasn't a serious block, but I needed something to make me ask the sorts of questions that I always ask before settling down to craft a short story or novella. Since that time, I've written quite a lot and I've begun to post photographs and other visual works that I created here...partially because I love the Renderosity community in general, and partially because the images and text-snippets that I have contributed here are something of an ongoing journal. I'm incredibly lazy when it comes to journal keeping, and so posting picures of particular significance actually helps me to remember the things I want to remembe, without having to eat into my fiction writing time by writing non fiction. Well, at least that's my excuse and I am sticking with it.
I entered into the field of photography totally by accident; I'd always been interested in capturing small stories, but it wasn't until my journey to Europe that I began to consciously seek out tableaus that imply stories in progress. As a result of that, my writing is growing in unexpected directions, and I look forward to becoming more and more active here, and in other artistic/publishing fields.
For those looking at my gallery, enjoy it and feel free to leave comments and sitemail! Good day to all!

I don't know about the others who will view this posting after me, but I see a beautiful Chinese dragon protecting something! An impressive and rare sighting indeed my friend.

I don't know. I'm just not seeing a dragon in this image. Sincerely, Dominos Pizza Box Grease Stain Jesus, 2003 ;) Excellent find & great read!

Clearly this dragon just ate the troll under that particular bridge...you can see the blood on his tongue! Although it doesn't look like he was a very big troll, since the dragon clearly looks like he's still very hungry. I'd walk very fast if I were you...

it could be a dragon, but it kinda looks like a very weird, very angry dog to me!! lol

Very well captured !

That is a superb dragon, and it's great to see real skilled graffiti instead of scribble and tags.

Wow! VERY cool! The only thing I saw when walking through a tunnel near the lake was a guy playing a violin who had issues about having his picture taken that seemed to stem from his mother having taken too many photos of him when he was a child. It's well done, and I'm always impressed when someone can draw and/or paint something that seems to curve and be coming out at you. Whether it's really there or not, it's terrific! :)

This would have been a great capture of a rust stained wall if that dragon hadn't stuck his big head in the way. Don't you just hate getting photo bombed?

I see a kaleidoscope of mult-colored unicorns dancing in the rain to a Bob Marley tune.

I think it's cool when pictures the streets beautifies..... like in this case. It shows that people live here!

It is no doubt hiding from the wrath of my cat Lilly: The Dragon Slayer. Named of coarse for her visceral contempt for Chinese dragons. But perhaps all dragons - even the Tolkien variety - are wary of her. She is a 'pounce first and let someone clean up later' type. I suspect your dragon has received word of the smashing (literal) fate of one of his cousins. Your dragon looks like a tough character though. He is still vibrant (how I love those greens) and whole in spite of the viaduct rust which has streamed in front of him for (maybe) years. But I doubt the bars would hold him in for long if he decided to strike out for a new realm.
