Description

It had been a busy day and we had traveled many miles. We sat in the dining room of our hostel and compared notes. Dinner was served. It was a delicious pork roast with crispy skin and a light sweet and sour sauce. I found that, during our trip, many of the meals we had were of gourmet level quality. The weather service had predicted a five percent chance of lights for the evening but, despite this pessimistic prediction, most of us were outside at midnight watching the skies. The wind howled and blew snow from the hilltops into our faces but most of us persevered and were rewarded with a lovely green glow appearing just over the hilltops. Not exactly spectacular but better than nothing. So much for percentages.

Way better! The percentage of green glow in the sky around Seattle is ALWAYS zero! This is very cool. :)

A lovely and beautiful green sky, Mark! I think this was worth the cold wind and wakefulness!

I've seen the northern lights in Norway and it was an experience for me. Also your picture is very fantastic. Good thing did it taste you. I always thought in the far north of the "Stinkfish" the delicacy is number one.....LOL Have you tried him?
