Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Teach your children well. One of the greatest feelings in the world. They will be expert riders by the time they are old enough to get their licenses.

Arrrrrrrgh the memories! For what it is worth, I did this from when I was a small kid. I am now 45, and have never had a crash or bingle on the road of ANY kind in all that time! Not even a parking or speeding fine. I am convinced I am a good driver because of all the riding I did as a kid.

Awesome action shot; they look much older than that, guess it's all the gear.

Mere toddlers you say. What an imposing bunch. Future Evel Knievels all, in this resounding race to the finish line, Marilyn.

Lots of forward motion in this shot, everyone's leaning to the right, a big group-lean, and the sync---the way all the helmets are lined up in the same angle---makes it a really grabbing sports shot. Really fine, Marilyn, we're remind that you've done some of the finest water-sports shots on the site, and here---with motorcycles---you show yourself just as adept at other sports shots. And I agree, btw, that a point and shoot can do wonders (I just was pointing out, in my gallery, that there are some types of shots it tends to blur), as your shots show repeatedly. Fine action shooting, as you've been doing for some time now. Amazing you got such a tight group, in motion, and with such synced poses. This is a fine series.
