This Harkness rose won the Rose of the Year 2002, and is one of my favourites.

You think other roses see this rose's name, and mutter, "well excuuuuuuuuuuse meeeeeee!" (Or "nyaaa nyaaa nyaaa...") The flickr shot is a big in our face bloom, dominating our visual field, and quite beautiful. This has more space around it, but is as beautiful. It's positioned beautifully in the shot; you postworked the background, again, into droplets of hue; and the deep oranges in the shadows is just beautiful. A beautiful piece, Andrea, and cropped and composed just right for the subject.
