Description

Here in Oklahoma just a few days ago the wildflower season was in full bloom. Unfortunately the lack of rain for the past two or three years has diminished the number of wildflowers to enjoy. However defying the odds some manage to bring us there natural beauty and color to enjoy. One of the flowers/plants that survive these hot and dry conditions are the Cactus. luckily It happens to be my favorite spring flower to shot. The flowers are beautiful setting atop there rugged and thorny host plant. This one is on the softer side with texture and color.

It's been a while since I have posted here on Renderosity, life and time has a way of setting our course with no respect to it's host. And as we flow through life our paths have away of crossing from time to time with something familiar. I've crossed paths with Renderosity many times with what seemed to be no time to stop in for a visit. This morning our paths have collided once again and sometimes you just have to stop and take the time for life, and catch up with old friends. Even though I haven't been posting I have never stopped shooting both for personal enjoyment, with a little professional work thrown in as well. I've competed in several shows and have done well with one best of show award, I've had a couple of private showings, mostly local. I don't consider myself a professional, but rather an enthusiast, but mostly someone that just love the art of photography. I hope you enjoy my latest post, Have a great day.

I'm glad to see you posting again and I was also away for a long time. This is a lovely shot and lovely pastel colors. Just south of the Red River we have had hardly any spring flowers, due to the drought. I'm glad you have kept up with your photography and thank you for sharing your images once again.
