Description
Shot at the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, My favorite place to shot in western Oklahoma. The Buffalo as well as all animals run free over thousands of nationally protected land.

Nice color on this Buff, looks like a younger grown-up, the older ones have a certain aura and look to them. Love this close up! I know you had a great time there in my favorite place in all the world~ The Buffs and the Prairie dogs never fail to make one smile!

I agree about you using a telephoto lens unless you got lucky and one was near the fence. I seen the same buffalo there, but they were at a distance

amazing detailed closeup! the only buffalos I saw in real life was in Oklahoma also on the way to Anadarko indian city! a gorgeous capture! ;o)
