Description

Made this while I was still in a downer mood. And my PC is still bending under the strain of rendering these images, even after overclocking it. Time for a faster CPU methinks. The telephoto effect is vaguely reminiscent of the promo photos for Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver. The title of this image is taken from the song "Atmosphere" by Joy Division. There's also a wide angle version of this pic. Additional credits: - Urban Sprawl 2 by Stonemason @DAZ3D - Vehicles by RPublishing, VanishingPoint & various free 3D models - Characters by Sabby, Arki, Seven, Rebelmommy, Gypsyangel

Thanks for the feedback, the lights took some time to get right, and funnily enough I still think they're a little out of kilter. And this is coming from an amateur photographer - hence I know a bit about 3-point lights and focal lengths.

I can see the Taxi Driver influence, but this is cinematic in its own right. You've captured the mood of what it can feel like to be lonesome as dusk approaches on a Friday night and everyone else seems to be full of life. This is very good storytelling.
