My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Well, I never ! ... and I mean by that, I have never ever seen one around here on the East Coast of OZ - and having said that ... not even in a Zoo when I lived in Sydney and then again I may have missed it - but I believe they do exist and be hiding somewhere in the Northern part of OZ ;P So - IOW - I DIDN'T HAVE ONE OF THESE, but I have got one now and I am not gonna let him go, because he is absolutely gorgeous; I might even give him a name and call him 'Craig Crane' or better yet 'Prince Craig' - somehow he looks so very regal, don't you think so too ? and your postwork is just divine - I am really and utterly pleased with my present and love it to bitz & pieces ;)) you just know, what I like ... and the other thing!!! - what a surprise to get this early - right on time, with time differences and all that ... ah, life is good - and thanks for your good wishes Tara, you made my day ;))) glorious indeed, BB

Wonderful "abstraction" of crane essence...these guys can be a real challenge to photograph, they tend to get pecky when they see shiny objects!

I've used these types of filters, Tara, but the hues are all yours, as is the composition. You use these filters with mastery and ease. The flattening, here, allows the radiating feathers to feel like radiating hues, pure abstract radiating hues. And your bright hues---the peach whites, and beige whites---are beautiful. And the blues (and slate blues and gray blues) are wonderful as well. And I really like the "colonies" on the left, those concentric colonies you make with hues as if they were isobars: They balance the bursting feathers on the right. A real surprise---I don't remember you filtering like this in a while!---and beautifully done and very fresh and 'new'; and a fine dedi. Happy birthday, Brigitte! Very delicate work, Tara.
