Description

Thank you, friends, for braving 4 uploads in one day from me! To come here when you're tired and busy, and comment on one of my marathon-uploads? Above and beyond the call of duty! I won't do it often, but you're the best! Today, for all the wonderful animal uploaders here, I upload one of mine. A lioness (because of the mane, right?) She doesn't know Taj, though has a "major crush" on him, and asked if I'd deliver a package to him. (It's raw meat.) She also said "sitting on stone sucks". She plays harmonica in a blues band on weekends... Thanks for your visits and have a fine day! Mark (It's large---please zoom!)

That is SO cat, ignoring you while you're taking her picture; eyes half-closed as if to say she couldn't give a toss about you or what YOU want. And look at that lovely velvety coat--I have heard that they aren't as soft as they look, but she really does look like she's made of velvet, a not-so-cuddly stuffed toy. You did well here, getting the feline essence as well as the feline herself. They don't always share that, you have to be ready for it when it comes...it always does come along if you wait long enough. See, you CAN do animals! (I hope you're not aggravating your back...)

ROARRRRR. Very well done Mark. Her coat reminds me of a big, thick, comfy velour towel. She didn't jump down from some pedestal did she? Have you checked the front doors of the Chicago Art Institute lately? I know, they are males but maybe she hangs out nearby. Yes, indeed...you can do zoos/menageries. They are fun but creativity is required to shoot around and through all those bars and enclosures isn't it? BTW, I just discovered that Hohner makes a harmonica by the name of "Blueband". I've always dreamed of playing a harmonica but used to tell my daughters that I'd need to do a long sentence in jail to force me to sit in a corner and learn:-)

I gave my harmonica to my son, and I don't think he can play it either.

Mon dieu, a capital capture of a big cat not of Denise's making! This one sitting so stoically in the narcissistic belief that it represents a logo for an insurance company. But I digress. Terrific chiseled out fur effects, supremely enhanced by the wonderful lighting effects inherent in this marvelous image, Mark. Various hues, tones and shades of sepia seem to dominate this special one time upload for the day, my friend.

Mark, simply outstanding work on this amazing photo of the Lioness. I always enjoy photos of animals and nature, that is what makes this one special for me. Her regal beauty stands out and you captured her in amazing detail. As always I thoroughly enjoyed the thoughts and comments of the previous viewers.

The portrait of the musician is so sophisticated, with a beautiful glare all over, and I'm impressed by how you show her. In particular, I adore the background, Mark. Although, I know you did something of great post work over all, but on that background, it's remarkably good. Too bad, here it seems like this lion has no energy to play his beloved instrument. So, can you please give details when the performance of this artist will be planned? ;-)
