Description

There are a lot of doves around here. I managed to catch one leaving its telephone pole perch. Thanks very much for your views and comments.

Absolutely stunning shot! I'm sure there are doves around here, but what I have is a large flock of band-tailed pigeons, which look very similar except for the tail. They are quite spooky, though, and fly off in a hurry if they think they see any movement anywhere!

Sterling color and clarity in this action shot of the colorful dove, Maria, as it flaps its wings in pursuit of something or other. Capturing moving objects is not my forte, so I admire those who can pull it off.
