They never seem stay still long enough for me to photograph. Got lots around my pond at the moment and they are quite happy to sit on my hand if I'm still. Great shot Andrea :)

An outstanding shot, fantastic details. With me they always fly away before I can photograph them.

Damselflies are so captivating with those long bodies and wings - like a darning needle -and you captured this one so superlatively.

Superb capture. I like the tortoise shell markings. The male is flashier but I prefer the lady.

Lovely detail of the elegant damselfly, I have vivid memories as a young lad of seeing masses of these in all the colours they come in around a forest pond in the early 70's.

Wonderful how it is perpendicular to the leaf, with its lace-leafed wings suspended over open air. Another beautifully detailed insect shot from you, with no visible connection to the leaf, so it looks like the leaf is suspended in mid air' and all that looming space is surrounding it...Wonderful crop.

This is a gorgeous capture and detailed wing structure. I did like the FlickR version too - because of the spread wings!
