I love the textures, and the feeling of eerie and jarring sounds emanating from various places in the shot; really, this needs to have sound embedded! Well done once again, Mark!

Well, since I exhausted all of my available prose in admiration of Caverns No. 1, all I can say here is that I like the high key radiating colors and light, and the eerie textures, in this version, Mark. Abstraction taken to new heights. Eat your heart out, Ridley Scott.

Dee is right about the sounds. How clever of you to evoke them with colour in this way, Mark! I know there is a tradition of 'colour piano' as it were, but this is the percussion equivalent! Absolutely inspired work.

I agree ... percussive. Cymbals, drumsticks bouncing on drumheads, syncopated rhythms. Wonderful! (I had to check ... this one looks pretty good from all four angles!) :) I like the transformation you accomplished with both pieces. They really are otherworldly!

Never has a stairwell been so envisioned. This one is a really great abstract.

Excellent image! I agree with the comments above. This is pervaded with sound. Once again I think of a passage I read recently in a Terry Pratchett book. "The thrumming of the machine was like a kind of spell. Again, the metal voice of steam rang out over the compound like a lost soul and he found himself unable to leave." (Raising Steam) I hear the sounds of industry. The rising and falling of pistons, the shrieks of steam, the percussion of gears and cogs, the creak of wood or metal in motion. It demands attention in no uncertain terms and to those who are so inclined, these insistent demands are music to the ears. Your image has a darkness to it. It speaks of the power, the cacophony, the refuse left behind, and the potential for disaster. But there is also a beauty here. A beauty of power, of invention, of activity and production. I look, and I can see the fascination that mechanical power exerts in the hearts of people throughout the ages.

Mark, this version is equally exciting and offers another perspective. Once again you have certainly outdone yourself, and I especially like the colors throughout.
