Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Ooh! This is really elegant. There's so much. I love the sunset and the guy playing to it and to Carin. This is really, nicely rich. Because my mind keeps going off in the directions that it keeps going off into, I thought of David Carradine...playing a flute, for Uma Thurma in Kill Bill right when the movie turned into the satisfying emotional whammy that it turned into. I love the way Kill Bill ends....it's so elegant and it was really, super cool seeing Mr. Kung Fu on the screen again. Okay...and now we return to tonight's regularly-scheduled comment: This is really elegant. The warm colors and the near-silhouettes really work well together here. It's a great composition and a great photo. To top it off, it's a really cool birthday dedication too!

Utterly beautiful in every sense of the word in re this elegant shot of the dude playing his flute at the Huntington Beach pier - where it's expensive to park I bet - in this remarkable BD dedication to Carin. Magnifique.
