My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

She has such beautiful markings on her face; she knows who the queen of the zoo is.

Nice little kitty! Great shot, whomever.

Elegant arrogance! Marvellous. A look to aspire to in certain circumstances, although at the moment I can't think what these might be...
jayfar

Yes, that's Keira; she is the one with the fierce glare and the green eyes. Tika has a black nose and rounder face, and Miksa is redder and bigger than the girls. You got a great portrait of her, she tends to be more secretive, and hangs out with her brother most of the time, leaving Tika to be the loner. She certainly seems to know you're there and taking her portrait! The first time the cougars caught a bird in their enclosure it was Keira who did it (Miksa promptly took it away from her.) She's the consummate hunter!

Super shot Tara

Great shot. So majestic and confident in this shot. The only bummer with cougars is you can't cuddle them.. lol. Truly a wonderful capture.

Oh, wonderful shot! Pumas have always been my favorite of the big cats and this is a great portrait!

I have seen that look before - ah, yes it was Robert De Niro: "talkin' to me ?" in 'Taxi Driver' ... gee, that was a while ago -1976 ! thanks for the good wishes for the 'trip of a lifetime' Tara, getting a wee bit excited now, 4 more days and then it's up, up and away ... wish you were here too ! I do believe that cats , all cats, are the only creature on earth that can give that look. The one that says Really ?, I don't think so, you are not worth my time, if you insist, I guess I will let you . All with just one look. This is reall a most beautiful portrait . Beautiful capture.

What a fantastic person! So relaxed! So poised. So feline! Ah...felines: they're the only creatures I know (the housecat variety) that can get a full body workout while sleeping and doing nothing. Purring does it. I love this shot! It's so elegantly feline!

As with Ms Knightley, this Keira is beautiful.. Lovely shot. Rob
