Histories of Carina
Castle Tal, located in the Mat’al Sea, was the ancestorial home of House Tal. House Tal suffered a tremendous loss in Carinian Year 339 when the young heir, Roa’Tal, disappeared from the Castle. Lord Nar’Tal was so devastated that he spent the next seven years searching for his son. With House Tal’s treasury nearly depleted from the futile search for Roa’Tal, House Kas invaded and conquered the Castle. Lord Nar’Tal was a broken man by this time and offered no resistance. Lord Sen’Kas, instead of the typical torturous imprisonment common during this time for a vanquished foe, showed mercy on Lord Nar’Tal and his mate and remaining two children and executed them quickly on the beach.
Tours of Castle Tal are available during Summer months.
p.s. omg I think I been food poisoned, I'm going to rip into that grocery store deli when I can move again. I'll bet they left that chicken sitting out too long. I woke up two hours ago and did this scene and story to try to take my mind off how I feel. It ain't working. uggh.

perhaps there is a moral in the tale, nice background to the excellent illustration, love the throw away about the tours, — sorry to hear about your food poisoning, copious amounts of water usually do the trick, flush it all out so to speak

It's a great image, and a nice story snippet. I like the idea of random bits of planet history. Oh man, SO sorry to hear about the food poisoning!! That's just the worst. Try the water, as Paul says, but don't be surprised if you can't keep it down. At least you won't be retching on air. It just takes time to get through. Hang in, buddy!

this is a cool scene, I like the sepia tones a lot. oh, no! food poisoning is the worst; try to sip water if you can.
