Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

What a cool place! I love the overall vibe. Great color scheme. This seems more elegant than the retro-kitsch places that cropped up in Chicago for a moment, before they were torn town to make room for condo stacks. I really like this and it's so odd to see it empty. Timing is everything, isn't it? This is a fantastic shot! I wanna eat there now!

Your timing is right on spot....that is, no one is there yet... Nice shot. Aloha

Looks like a fun place - they're opening one in a shopping center near me in about a month, I'll have to check it out.

Look strangely similar to the dirigible Hindenbourg diner room in 1936 (Bahaus style) Very interesting shot

Great indoor pic of the spartan restaurant, Marilyn. I remember Ruby's Diner. I don't remember which one I was at. And isn't this the eating place where you almost got arrested for sneaking in some photos?

Hey, I know this place. Every time I visit my stepmother we end up here for lunch. Great shakes and a terrific view. I've never seen it empty though.

I love diners, and Ruby's is very good indeed! Love the shot too...
