Skylar is driving Eleanor as they leave New Orleans. They turn on the radio and relax as the drive in the afternoon rain. It isn't very long before the clouds break up and they start to get sunny skies. Eleanor loves this kind of weather and bellers with glee as they glide down the interstate. Everything is so peaceful, they don't even notice they have crossed over into Mississippi. Their bliss is rudely interrupted by the blare of a siren! Skylar looks in his rear view mirror and sees a police car behind them. Just then, he sees a sign indicating Gulfport, Mississippi is nearby. Gently, he pulls over to the shoulder of the highway getting over as far as is safe. Two police jump out of their vehicle and come running up beside them, weapons drawn. 'Get out of the car, NOW, both of you!' screams one of them. Both Skylar and Reed are in shock! What in the hell is going on. Skylar thinks back and wonders, 'was I driving over the speed limit?' Once the guys are out of the car, both officers grab Skylar and drag him back beside their cruiser. They search him and take the contents of his pockets. Reed looks on in astonishment not knowing what do to or say. Seeing they both still have their weapons drawn, he opts to stay silent. Then they order him to give them his cell phone. Reluctantly, he hands it over to them, with a gun pointed at his head. They handcuff Skylar and throw him into the back seat of their cruiser. Then they tell Reed he better follow them if he ever wants to see his buddy alive again. Now Reed is really scared. Come to think of it, he doesn't remember ever seeing a cop car with these kinds of markings, but then it is the south, so he has never seen any southern police cars. Are these guys for real, he wonders? With his knees shaking and his whole body quivering, Reed gets behind the wheel of Eleanor and follows the police cruiser. They pull off at the next exit and head up a street for a few miles. Then they turn off and head down a narrow, deserted looking old street. There aren't many buildings as they get farther down it. Soon, they pull up in front of what looks like an old 'wild west' jail house. The 'police officers' get out of their cruiser and order Reed out of Eleanor.
