Description

ZOOM PLEASE! Greetings, since I try to limit repeating the same insect shots many times in a row in my gallery (though there are exceptions to that rule), I decided to do a double shot of this one. The beautiful Metallic Long Legged Fly. Its funny that many times I try to shoot these and soon as the flash fires, they take off in flight and I wind up with a slightly OOF pic of a leaf (and maybe a blurry LLF butt at the edge of the image). Well, I chased this one for a good 5 mins from leaf to leaf the other day. And I am pretty sure he got worn out! As after all that time I was able to take quite a few shots of him without him even making a move. So I guess it is possible insects do get tired. lol. Anyway, both shots are of the same insect. I really liked both as it has a different beauty to share in each shot. One of my fave flies for sure. Thanks for looking in and if you feel like it leave me a comment (I enjoy reading them) :-) -Bruce PS, Got permission from my boss to go into the office on 4th of July to get shots of the Fireworks show at the Queen Mary. We are on the 13th floor and have an office window that over looks the Queen perfectly in Downtown Long Beach, CA. Hoping I can do well shooting through a tinted window (if you have tips would love to hear them). If I do I am sure there will be some of those shots to come to my gallery.
