Once in Key West, Jessie drives straight to their Inn. He has reserved rooms for them at the old Curry Mansion. That is where is business acquaintance is staying as well so it will be convenient to conduct business there. Ginger navigates the streets of old Key West with elegance and poise and the guys pull up at the Inn with the proper amount of pomp and circumstance. They are greeted by some of the staff who give them a proper welcome and see them to their rooms. 'I have to meet my associate down at one of the local taverns. I won't be long. Shall we meet back here in about an hour for supper?' asks Jessie, as they leave the Inn. 'Sure!' says Skylar. 'That will be fine. I don't think we can get into too much trouble just walking around seeing the sites.' he says as he winks at Reed, and gets a knowing wink in return. It seems the guys bad luck has run out for the moment. They have no troubles as they tour the island. They find it most enjoyable just walking around watching people, looking at the ocean and checking out the old landscape. At one tavern, they hear a history of the island and all the rough trade that used to frequent it. At another, they learn of the time Ernest Hemingway lived there. All in all, the guys have a great time. Later that evening, over a sumptuous supper, they tell Jessie of all the sites they saw and some of the stories they heard. He laughs boisterously at them and fleshes out some of the more scanty tales, for, you see, Jessie is a major aficionado of the island and has studied it thoroughly, having spent much time there. The next day, they sleep in till almost check out time. Jessie lets them enjoy their rest. Once they do wake up, they freshen up with showers, shaves and other toilet duties. Then have a wonderful lunch before they head back up to Miami. Jessie tells them he has booked them on a flight to Baton Rouge so they have to get up there soon. They make it to the airport with plenty of time. Ginger doesn't seem to notice there are any speed limits and Jessie just lets her have her head as they fly up the highway. Ginger seems to just drive herself and everyone enjoys the free feeling that empowers them with. The flight to Baton Rouge is uneventful. They land alright and take a taxi to the storage place where their loot and the Edsel convertible have been stored. They rent a moving van and a trailer for the convertible. Reed doesn't want to put any more miles on it than he has to. Before loading the van, they decide to take a quick spin over to the old mansion and see if Jasper might be around to say hello to. They are a little worried he might not have made it back safely from Gulfport. Once they get there, they knock at the front door. The auctioneer lady is still working there and lets them in. They ask if Jasper is around so they can thank him for all his help. She sadly informs them that Jasper has passed away just a couple nights previous and that the funeral is the following day. She tells them where it will be held and they decide to stay over and attend, as a sign of respect for their friendship with Jasper. The next morning, they drive over to the service and pay their respects to their old friend. He is dressed in a dark blue suit, which they think is rather strange. But not as strange as the next revelation. When they get a good look at Jasper's face, they both are shocked. They go back to a pew. Reed exclaims to Skylar that he doesn't know who that is in the coffin but it sure isn't Jasper. Skylar shakes his head in agreement! ---------- M4 and Sims 3 characters. Rendered in Poser 9.
