I don't usually take pictures of my food, but sometimes it's pretty inspiring!

You must get some odd looks when you go to a restaurant. Still, this is a wonderfully detailed still life. "Fried shrimp in repose with coy mushroom slice", perhaps.

It looks a bit spicy, greasy, for me, but I could be completely wrong!

It isn't greasy at all. I think they use "restaurant advertising" lighting over each table! LOL! The veggies are stir-fried, and the coating on the shrimp was quite delicate. Not too thick, and nicely dry.

A luscious shot. It evoked a very specific sense memory for me from over 30 years ago - we used to eat at a restaurant in Oakland California's Chinatown called Hunan & our favorite dish was a hot & sour garlic prawns that looked just like this. Thanks for dredging that up for me...

OH YUM! and it is soon my supper time for my beloved salad and a some chicken meat. I sure would not be able to walk away form that plate !!!

Oh, MAN!!! I just finished grilling salmon fillets - mine lasted about 2 minutes! Now you've gone and made me hungry again! LOL! What a delicious shot, Tara! This looks soooooo good!

Yummmmm...I haven't had breakfast yet (I'm late getting to comments) and seeing this just woke my stomach...now it's telling me it's time to eat, and sooner rather than later! Beautifully captured, you've got that close-enough-to-smell thing going on, and the light is really wonderful!
