Description

I had to go buy a cone last night to keep her from scratching her sutures, and she really did not like it. she kept backing up trying to rid of it, and ran into my leg plus the door. sad, but comical there is no advisory that fits such as this, but I put the thumb for those that would be grossed out

hi five from my Labs yara & yuki. note: because her ears are within the cone (hard to do it otherwise) all sounds come from all directions and make her disoriented, and all sounds are quite loud as well. She does need your guidance! All the best.

Poor girl, they have done a nice strong job there, hope she heals up soon and her fur will start growing back in no time, all you can do is keep her relaxed and preoccupied with other things to take her mind of her stitches. My thoughts are with you at this time regarding the cone, it can be difficult getting them to adapt to wearing it, because they will instantly sense it's a thing that should not be there and try to remove it... I believe there are different sized one's, I can see how you don't want her touching the stitches, if push comes to shove maybe between yourself and the vet you can maybe come up with an option if the cone fails or stresses her too much, two or three more days will help the healing process. All the best.

She will most likely get used to it in a few days. My brother's dog had surgery a couple of years ago and had to wear one so he could not bite or lick the wound and he was crazy too the first couple of days and then got used to it and forgot it was there. It is worth it to make sure she does not bust the stitches.

No reason at all for someone to be grossed out. Reality needs to be dealt with IMHO.
