A different kind of formation at Mammoth Hot Springs. This reminds me of the kind of shapes I've seen inside limestone caverns, so it was surprising to see it outdoors - as if someone has turned a cave inside out. But it is, in fact, a form of limestone known as travertine...

As you say, great to see this outside. We have a couple of splendid limestone caves at Cheddar in Somerset, which are fully accessible to visitors without being a caver!
