Description
Not sure if I'm finished with my Mammoth Hot Springs series, but thought I'd take a break from that & post some close-up shots I took for their abstract patterns & textures. The interaction of hot liquid on rock has created some fascinating & very intricate patterns & I could have taken a lot more photos of them if I had more time & wasn't so focused on photographing landscapes & wildlife ...

I'm just now arriving at this series, so I can already see there will be at least six. Oh boy! You already know how much I'm gonna love these!! Colors and patterns here are lovely, and the larger folds make an outstanding composition and division of space.
