Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

And a personalised number plate to boot. Looks good for it's age, and living coastal usually ends a cars life quickly, the salt air you see.

With a number plate like that I bet they all get worried when you drive along the sea front !!! Nice bit of driving.

Will be arriving at Poole Quay at approx. 12.15 for the Pottery place. Will fill you in with more detail later.

There's a secret to getting in and out of places like this. You simply close your eyes and put the pedal to the metal (that is, the accelerator to the floor!)! LOL Works every time (with minor glitches). Great capture!

This reminded me of the story on why many European roads are so narrow. Something about the length of a lance laid across a horse's saddle. I do like the personalized plate although it does not appear to be quite kosher. I never have these problems on the motorbike.

Mercy, that IS a tight squeeze! So many times, when I visited there several years ago, did I gasp, hold my breathe and shut my eyes because I was certain there was no way that two cars could pass by each other on those narrow, narrow country roads between the hedgerows! Somehow they always managed without a scratch. I was glad I wasn't driving! Great shot, Andrea. :)

Flipping heck how did he get out???
Faemike55

Ah ha, always a new challenge. I have found that there are power folding mirrors on the market. Only problem is they cost almost 730 pounds:-)
MrsRatbag
My mirrors fold, not power fold but manual, and I find it quite handy sometimes. I haven't found myself in anything this narrow, though. Great driving and great shot!

That is a very tight squeeze and it looks so much longer in the FlickR version!

That is a tight fit, no chance of getting out until fully backed in to the garage area. Another post I missed... catching up. :-)
