UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

OH GOSH! I see why Tara was so fascinated by this car. It is looking absolutely jawdropping :-) Love it and all its reflections and the copper color.

Magnificent.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is gorgeous! Thankyou Bill, it's not often I am remotely interested in the look of a vehicle, but this is very special. I suppose the chauffeur kept it polished: at my house he would be cleaning off pigeon poo!

Surely it's a Copper ghost and not a silver one LOL!. I saw aunties shot today, and was hankering to see the whole kit and caboodle myownself :) wonderful image Bill!!!

Oh, bronze and stainless steel/chrome galore in this beautifully POVed capture of this eternal beauty, Bill. Love the lighting and ancillary effects.

Thanks for posting this, hon! Of course I didn't take a single shot of the whole thing. LOL! This is terrific!

Quite a machine - would fit right into a steampunk fantasy. I'm kind of intrigued by that orange car in the background - it kind of looks like a lobstermobile...

There is only one drawback that I can see with this copper Rolls - a lightning storm would prove to be interesting to say the least. Great capture

Woah...... I mean..... WOAH!!! That is one amazing car, and what a shot, Bill! I saw Tara's close-up, and now seeing the whole thing... This is amazing. With today's copper prices, you couldn't park this anywhere in KC! They'll steal the condensers out of air conditioners at a church, or a roll of wire off a KCPL truck - while the workers are having lunch - this wouldn't stand a chance!

God...WOW...I wouldn't want the job of polishing her!

Nice to see sheet copper worked up and protected in a high polish! I would bet that Andrea would welcome the chance to do a digifiddle on your shot, or parts thereof.

That is certainly a magnificent vehicle! I'm sure the history would be very interesting. Well taken, sir, and a very unique and priceless RR!

What a stunning example of the automotive arts. Thanks for posting this. I begin to realize that you and Tara are the perfect photographer's example of Jack Sprat and his wife (Jack Sprat could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean). She shows us the small details and you provide the big picture. And between the both of you, you lick the platter clean.

Wow, I would LOVE to have that car, just to shoot it from a million angles. What a beauty!

WOW! Yeah, the title fits perfectly! This is the kind of bling that might be hazardous to drive; I mean, what if the sun decides to reflect off of all of those bling-surfaces. Well...it would be hard to miss. And it s gorgeous too! I love the sheen and the warm, coppery color. WOW! I don't know if I'd like to own one of these, but I'd love to see the world in which one of these would be considered common...though I suspect it's also a world in which people wear sunglasses while looking at roads. What a shot! I love it!

Ok, that's what it looks like. Great capture Bill, but I like Tara's comment about her run in with the docent, who couldn't understand that she wasn't interest in the car, just the lines. This is a great shot of this car, but I bet it didn't move very fast with all the copper sheeting.
