Description

Hi everyone! Thought i would show the progress of one of my models, the MantiZ. She is basically scratch built in just over 10 hours (excluding the wings which were taken from the Hornet i made last year). Constructed by myself in nothing but Bryce 4 using boleans...a lot of them..LOL. My Bro Dave Robinson, aka bambam131 asked me to start my videos on how these beasts are made, so i have started doing that from the basic bolean all the way up to the more complex. Hey Steve, it looks like another winner. 2 things pop out at me. Maybe making the mandibles chrome or gold would break up that very dark area, and possibly scale them up to enhance their presence. And that beautiful abdomen also seems a bit undersized. It is a waste to hide such an important structure. Just a couple of thoughts from a fan.

To answer IO4's question, yes Byce 4 and 5.5 are way more stable than 6 or 7 with bolean modeling. (I have all versions and none of my models will open in 6 or 7) My models as .br files range from 3-50Gb in size ( you read that right) so Daz, even though they gave away 6 and 7 for free did not address this problem, as being fair Bryce was never meant for modeling, just landscapes. But my vesion 4 cost money and was made by metacreations,to me its just a better product in more than one way.
