Hi and thank you for popping in.
Â
I model primarily in Bryce 4 and have pushed the programme to the absolute limit of what many deem the edge of it's capabilities, but after 12 years of using nothing but Bryce 4, im still pushing....i do swear a lot more now though LOL.
I have a Masters Degree and Honours in Art and Design and have the nickname *Lord of Dragons* due to a client who i painted a set of paintings for, he dubbbed me the title when i was 17, it kind of stuck.
I run my own art house called *Rair DeZign* and have a page at facebook which has a few videos of myself making models using Bryce 4.
Â
Born in England in 1965 (yeah a long time ago i know) i now reside in the U.S.A with my children and my life partner and soul mate Kat, without whom i would be nothing.
Visions?
Â
I have 4 science fiction books on the go at the moment, 2 of which contain the models i have made in my gallery here, InZects and Counter Point Zero, which is based upon my starship iNova One.
Â
All models are constructed using Bryce 4 unless otherwise stated, i use Carrara Pro as well, but trust me, i make only very small bits i cannot intersect or form in Bryce,,,you cant teach this old dog new tricks :)
Remember we all started from novices, if you see a picture here, remember that person took time to make it, and of course show it, so at least give them some encouragement, it is the only way we can learn is it not?
Â
Peace and longevity to you all my friends!

Hey Steve, it looks like another winner. 2 things pop out at me. Maybe making the mandibles chrome or gold would break up that very dark area, and possibly scale them up to enhance their presence. And that beautiful abdomen also seems a bit undersized. It is a waste to hide such an important structure. Just a couple of thoughts from a fan.

Thank you my friend, yup took on board your idea's and yup i shall indeed address those areas. Getting the balance together is important, so the abdomen will be inceased, (still need weapons LOL)

Wow, that is superb! What detail! It's interesting that you still use Bryce 4 - is it more stable with booleans?

Fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! outstanding work!

To answer IO4's question, yes Byce 4 and 5.5 are way more stable than 6 or 7 with bolean modeling. (I have all versions and none of my models will open in 6 or 7) My models as .br files range from 3-50Gb in size ( you read that right) so Daz, even though they gave away 6 and 7 for free did not address this problem, as being fair Bryce was never meant for modeling, just landscapes. But my vesion 4 cost money and was made by metacreations,to me its just a better product in more than one way.
