Description

This cute little set have always been there, and probably belonged to my Great grandfather. the biggest one is 4.2 cms high. I used a filter Tara sent me, called Radiance, for the first time, and I loved it because of the names of the options, more than the results. They are called Strangeness, Charm, Truth and Beauty. I should love to be able to apply them to several people I know, especially certain of my litter of grandchildren. See a straight version Here

Interesting and unusual setup and shot. I am asking myself, what has been in the boxes once?

I hope this comes of as the compliment I am intending it to be. But I thought this was a 3d render when I first looked at it. I mean, there is so much detail and texture apparent that I thought someone was doing a study with detailed rendering. I am even more impressed to see that this is photography. This is really cool.

These kinds of shots really float my boat because there is so much opportunity to experiment with objects and present them in different ways.

First place to use this filter would be Westminster. But would it work as well as it does on images?

What a cute set of boxes and how impressive that these have been in your family for so many years, Andrea. One can only wonder at their original uses. Very nicely composed and rendered. :)

Looks like a set of matryoshka boxes, like the Russian nesting dolls. Lovely image with what must be quite a history.

I would venture to say that they all 'nest' inside each other for compact storage! I prefer this display version! Mathematicians are more comfortable with stepping up one size at a time instead of scattered around! :

Oh yes, I do like that filter! I go in cycles with what I find best to use, and I haven't been in that set for a while, but I've still got 'em, and was just looking at that very one the other day! (I believe they're from Xero.) I love the effect you've got with this shot. The little boxes are a delight, and I like the way you've got them arranged. :)
