I was looking around and found DAZ. It has become my recent hobby. I don't really have a background in art, but I have always liked to draw and this seems like a good extention of that. Sometimes it seems like I could draw faster than working in 3d, but I believe they both have their pros and cons. I really like lighting and I am trying to get better at that. Cinema 4d has a better material / lighting engine than DAZ but I like the 3d characters in DAZ. I am married and have a couple beagles, they do keep me busy in the summer. Other hobbies include sports, I play ice hockey, pretty much year round, and I enjoy tennis and some other sports as well. Thanks for checking out the art. Element

I think it looks very good as hair. The randomness of the length looks right, but I would expect it to be a bit more coarse (or wirey) on a character like this. This hair looks soft and fluffy, rather than grizzled. Nice work though. It looks like you've got a good handle on it.

I really like what you've done. I'm starting to work with C4D hair myself, but it's hard to find good information on how to use it properly so I'm having to do a lot of trial and error to get it right. I think once I get the hang of it, I'm going to try and really stick with it --I've never really cared for the geometry based hair. It's a rare treat to see someone actually using the hair component on a human being instead of just using a ball or some other stupid primitive. Bravo!
