I was looking around and found DAZ. It has become my recent hobby. I don't really have a background in art, but I have always liked to draw and this seems like a good extention of that. Sometimes it seems like I could draw faster than working in 3d, but I believe they both have their pros and cons. I really like lighting and I am trying to get better at that. Cinema 4d has a better material / lighting engine than DAZ but I like the 3d characters in DAZ. I am married and have a couple beagles, they do keep me busy in the summer. Other hobbies include sports, I play ice hockey, pretty much year round, and I enjoy tennis and some other sports as well. Thanks for checking out the art. Element

I think the one on the right looks best because it looks more realistic...must be the lighting more than background color. Very nice.

On the left I would reduce the specularity on her outfit. I do like that more detail is visible in this one. On the right I agree with tcombs, it is more realistic but I think I would brighten the image some to bring more detail out of the darker areas of the image.

Wonderfully done.

I like them both. They both have their good points. The left is great because the lighting is more dramatic. The right is nice because the materials look a little better. Thanks for posting these.
