Description
Here is the end result of my "experiment" started just under 2 months ago (see my May 30th post).
Finally got fed up of washing the mould off and decided to eat the thing tonight. Tastes good, but hard to make a comparison as to what it tastes like. It's not brie, it's not Camembert. Perhaps a Port Salut gone wrong.
Assuming I'm not in the morgue tomorrow, I'd be happy to eat more of it!
All done in the fridge, and with no special equipment. The only worrying thing is... it was supposed to be a cheddar!!
Thanks for looking :)

Hehe! What fun! It looks great, but I can't seem to smell from here.

I don't think that I would have touched it Steve - looks a bit funny to me !!

Well, it certainly looks good to me, and I'm an incurable cheese-lover. I do hope you make it through the night! :-D

I do LOVE cheese!

Fascinating! It must have been a complicated process and took a long time to age. Maybe it's "white cheddar". :) Very cool that you did this.

It looks lovely, but not very cheddar-y... wonderful photo. Maybe it's Bavarian Beaver Cheese?

It looks nicely runny, just right for spreading on a lovely cracker. Not very cheddar like, but hey ... it's your first attempt, and it IS cheese! :)

Looks great, I myself am not much on cheese, but I think I would have tried it, I do like Cheddar, hopefully it is not deadly, outstanding capture!
