Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Ooh, did you say "tasting room?" This is really marvelous, and it just goes on and on and on...all the way out thataway. I love the symmetry, but it's off a little bit from the bits of daylight shining between leaves, and so that gives an extra, little bit of oomph, because things are more different than they seem, and so there's symmetry but not repetition, and just look at your post work. It's like you painted this...it's very impressionistic, like each part of this is like a little, independent world; it's better than a jigsaw puzzle, because it's more alive. I love the way the dabs and strokes fit together and the way you can see different grades of light and color in each of them. The composition is really nice as well...that whole vanishing perspective thing just pulls you right in, and I'm hoping that the wine-tasting room is at the end, and maybe just off to the right? And you DID taste wine, didn't you? I should hope so! This rocks and I love the mood. It's alive, but it seems quiet, like it's just you, your camera, and maybe some distant birds, or a few bees doing the bee-thing, and buzzing really quietly. I love this and THANK YOU! This rocks; and it's making a trip into my favorites!

Nice shot of the cloistered runway, Maz. The long path reminds me of the old ditty: It's a long way to Tipperary, It's a long way to go. It's a long way to Tipperary…….
