Description
Taken out the car window while driving from the north entrance of Yellowstone to Missoula, Montana. The sky was ominous most of the way & eventually broke out in a torrential downpour, with periodic thunder & lightning. We were actually pretty lucky during our two week trip, as almost all the rainy weather occurred during drives from one place to another, rather than on the days we were visiting the parks. The only exception was our very last day at Glacier, which was a total rainout & as a result, we just headed home a day early...

We've been fortunate enough to see rain in the distance in Montana on more than one occasion, and it never fails to be spectacular. Must be all that "big sky" business. This is beautiful!

I like the look up the slope and the nasty sky.
