Beautiful photo of this line-up, each with a long and exciting history. These could be written in a book, a chapter (or more) for each plane. Thanks for the reference to Princess Elizabeth! There's continuity both in the present regent of the UK and in the plane. I like that connection - it puts a lot into perspective. Keep up the good work! :-)

I'm speechless. A pure wonderment!

All those planes lined up on an English lawn gives this such a pastoral feeling. Too bad you couldn't have gotten a P-38 and a F4U squeezed in there (LOL).

Blimey, a neato capture of those wonderful early WWII aircraft, mate, sitting all in a row, waiting for inspection. The P-47 has a huge cowling to accommodate its huge engine. Incidentally, I watched the 1942 movie, Flying Tigers, a couple of nights ago - or should I say rewatched it - about the American volunteer pilots, flying Curtiss P-40B Warhawks, engaging in savage air combat with the Japanese invaders. Cool dogfight scenes. I still can't believe that John Wayne, with those wide shoulders and tall body, could fit into the cockpit of a P-40. He made several war movies.
