The Riverwalk San Antonio, Texas December, 2013 San Antonio's Riverwalk is a beautifully calm place in the middle of one of the ten most populous cities in the United States. It's definitely on our list of places to visit again!

It's famous in Texas. Science is showing a lot of health benefits to trees in urban areas. They cool and remove a lot of pollution. Lovely image.

Amazing River walk! I would walk that every day and can just imagine myself sitting there playing the flute. The echo in that tight area would be incredible.

It is a lovely walk, I always like to see some green areas in the urban environment, shows we still like our rural places, and shows the developers, "NO" you can't have every square foot, much that they'd like too given the chance. Lovely lead in on the right hand path Tara.

It does indeed have the feel of a cool oasis, with that gently undulating path, those deep greens & what seems to be an almost total absence of yellow light. I admire the subtlety & restraint in your postwork, especially since it's something that I find very difficult to do myself...

What a beautiful shot! I like it better like this than in the sun at high noon (like it was when I was there!).

I've seen Lucinda's version at night. Texas has been going thru a heat wave lately but this looks very cool. A lovely image.

This is gorgeous and I definitely agree that cities need more green spaces, especially restful, green spaces! I love the way this whole thing feels and the water has such a nice, sensual curve to it. I also love the fact that it's a wonderful blend: you got the urban, and you've got the natural, but in total truth, there's no real difference between human-made and "natural" despite what we've been raised to tell ourselves, and when you stop making those particular distinctions, you get something like this! And just look at it! The trees, the river, the rocks and the buildings all belong together here, and though it's probably intimately controlled and manicured, it gives the vibe of simply existing in and of itself. What a mood! What a shot!

This is sooo lovely, and you captured it's beauty well, Tara! Yes - Jo and I need to go back there someday - we were married in SA at Randolph AFB Chapel. A lovely photo!

Great place, and has the qualities of a small town in the middle of a massive metropolis!
