I think the car was named after Henry Ford's son I am thinking a 61 model year. they were made only form 1959 to 61 I think

I believe your right on the year. A lot of people didn't like this car but I always did. They should have never stopped making them in my book. Nice shot Richard.

Beautiful shot here! These were named after his son who died from stomach cancer. I agree that they are nice looking cars and should have been made longer.

Great looking car and Edsel was Henrys son and president of Ford Motor company for 24 years. He was a very very important part of that company, he started the Lincoln and Mecury lines and instrumental in many developments. The Edsel division started 13 or 14 years after his death but it just didn't sell! His father belittled him so much that he is usually looked at as unimportant, nothing could be further from the truth! Great shot!
