Description
The island Eldey is a 77 meter high sheer rock island and one of a cluster of rocks and skerries extending 85 kilometers out to sea called Fuglasker or Bird-skerries.
Eldey is now a protected sanctuary for seabirds. In the spring tens of thousands of Gannet, Shag, Cormorant, Kittiwakes, and Guillemots will arrive to build their nests and raise their young on the sheer cliff sides.
