Description

Every time I "shoot" a new one, that I haven't seen before.. I am happy This one is a predator, eating little insects, allthough most bugs are plamt-eaters

Wonderful image, Juliette. Really nice detail and composition. Having part of the leaf in focus is nice because it gives the viewer a reference about where the bug is. I also like the placement of the bug in a horizontal position. It allows the viewer's eyes to sweep across the bug's body and see the entire bug in one sweep. I googled "Snuitkeverwants" for the English translation. In English, this is called a Dock Leaf Bug. I've never seen this bug in the part of the US I live in (Minnesota). It's an interesting looking bug.

Ik sluit me aan bij alle voorgaande lovende commentaren. Niet alleen mooi, maar ook fijn om eindelijk eens een non-vegetariƫr te zien..

Sure looks like a StinkBug to me. Not welcome anywhere I know of. All too common here.

Wow, brilliant shot! I love the detail here looking down on his armoured back. Wish I had some of these on my roses, the aphids are having a field day...
