Description

I had a cute little back story for sisters Vany and Bethany this time out. But I think I'll leave it up to you, the good viewership, to paint in the events which lead to this moment. It's much more fun that way. Sorry, no nudity. So, I'm still playing with Poser 10 and indirect lighting. Curiously, I have found that it all but negates (or at least seems to negate) the influence of IBL lighting. Perhaps I should not be surprised about this as IBL lighting is supposed to simulate ambient and indirect lighting in its own right. The effect of indirect lighting is worth working with further but I do not like the constraints that it appears to impose. It also pre-supposes that an artist has the time and resources to create a complete environment around their characters in order to generate the indirect lighting. Having said that, one can fake an IBL light by making it infinite, turn off it's shadows and zero its specular quality (diffuse only) in the materials room. That's not a perfect work around but but it is better than nothing. Continue the research...

Clayton, this is simply outstanding work once again my friend. You have managed to establish a truly unique style that is all your own. Splendid work on the character interaction as well as their expressions.

Great perspective and advice on IBL and indirect lighting. I find I work best in an indirect lighting environment. IBL has always bedeviled me!! By the way, my focus was on the cats. Subtle and cute. Love it.
