Description

Last Friday our dogwalk was on this Forestry Commission plantation just north of Bournemouth Airport at Hurn. It was the site of a WWII RAF camp, not least because it is crowned by a level plateau giving 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Silver Birch, Larch, Calluna This photo is part of the walk up to the top, before the path gets rather steep. I may have to make a montage of more photos from this day, which Brigitte, my friend Christel and I all enjoyed as did the dogs. Please zoom ! See another Here

A chance to explore woodland, then a view appears from nowhere. That always excites me when it happens! A wonderful view and shot! It looks a lot more mixed forest that "commission" usually is, up our way.
