Description
Captured back on 10/18/09, in the beautiful Chinese Garden of the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California.
Taihu stone, aka Scholar's rock, is a porous kind of limestone produced at the foot of Dongting Mountain in Suzhou, China, which is close to Taihu Lake. Due to long-term surging of water, this kind of stone is featured by pores and holes.
I have tons of pics taken of similar stones at the Garden.
Don't bother to ZOOM; comes out the same size.
Bye.
